 Some History!

The first underground line opened on October 27, 1904 .

Trains have always played a vital role in the life of the Big Apple..

My feeling and what inspired was the romance of the trains.

I pictured no cel phones.

The elegance , the era, the vibrations of jazz filling the streets.

The clothes.

The dance.

The music.

The glamorous makeup, the suits and ties.

Chivalry at it's height.

The fabric in the trains, the seats, the colors, the upmost details.

Even the advertisements were classy yet had an undertone of romance.

Of course some were of the war bonds.

The "Mighty 7th" war loan ad ran shortly after the Allied victory on the Western front, in May 1945. It's modeled on the Joe Rosenthal photograph of US soldiers raising an American flag in Iwo Jima

So much about that era that resonates with me, I have not quite figured it out just yet!

The light bulbs

ceiling fans  and more.

You can read more on Business Inside about the Vintage Subway ride you can take at Christmas .

Oh, I do feel I am there right now.

Please Enjoy!
